Students and staff at Elizabeth Lane Elementary School will have a familiar face as their new principal in the 2014-15 school year.
Crystal Lail, a resident principal at Elizabeth Lane since last August, was named by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board on Tuesday as full-time principal at the school, off Pineville-Matthews Road in Matthews.
Lail earned her bachelors in elementary education in 2001 at East Carolina University and received her masters in May from UNC Charlotte.
She taught for 10 years, until 2012, at Olde Providence Elementary School and then became academic facilitator at the school in 2012 and 2013. Lail also worked with the Arts & Science Council in 2013 and 2014.
