Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden will be in Charlotte Sunday for a fundraiser and a town hall meeting.
The events mark the first time any of the major candidates will be in North Carolina since the national party conventions.
Biden is scheduled to appear at a 4 p.m. fundraiser at the south Charlotte home of Crandall Bowles. Bowles was a strong supporter of Sen. Hillary Clinton during the primaries. One co-chair is Charlotte Mayor Pro Tem Susan Burgess, another Clinton supporter.
Supporters are paying $1,000 to $15,000 to attend.
Biden's town hall meeting is expected to follow. But neither the time nor location have been announced, though campaign officials say that could come this afternoon.
