NC Republicans elect Justice vice chairwoman

A former Pender County lawmaker has been elected vice chairwoman of the North Carolina Republican Party.
Meeting in Concord on Saturday, the state GOP executive committee elected Carolyn Justice to the post. She replaces Winston-Salem Republican Joyce Krawiec, who last month was appointed to a state Senate vacancy.
Justice, 67, served five terms in the N.C. House before leaving last year. She defeated another former lawmaker, Glen Bradley. Jim Morrill
