Teal snubbed for award?
Panthers punter Jason Baker won last week's NFC special-teams player-of-the-week award with a stout 44.0-net average. Just wondering: Should the award have gone instead to Quinton Teal, who's heads-up play - blocking a player into the returner who had already signaled for a fair catch - resulted in a fumble and led to the Panthers' winning touchdown?
Stat of the week
The Panthers scored four different ways against the Redskins - touchdown, field goal, safety and two-point conversion. That's the first time that's happened in Panthers history.

Tampa Bay signed ex-Mountaineers safety Corey Lynch on Sept.23. Both were instrumental in ASU's recent run of three NCAA Football Championship Subdivision titles.
