Jordan Gross just stopped by the media room for a few minutes, per request, and told reporters that he expects to play Sunday against Tampa Bay, but hasn't been given the final go-ahead by coach John Fox.
However, he said he's medically ok and made it through practice today, participating on a limited basis.
Gross' return would be a huge boost for the Panthers (4-1) going into Sunday's game against the Buccaneers (3-2).
Right tackle Jeff Otah (sprained ankle) might also be back. He also partcipated in practice on a limited basis.
However, center Ryan Kalil (sprained ankle) did not practice.
As expected, neither did wide receiver D.J. Hackett, who's expected to miss at least one game with a sprained knee.
