IRVING, Texas The Dallas Cowboys lost Pro Bowl quarterback Tony Romo for about a month, but they could lose Pro Bowl punter Mat McBriar for the season.

Also, rookie running back Felix Jones will be out two to four weeks with a left hamstring injury.

McBriar suffered a main fracture and two hairline fractures to his right foot when his punt was blocked in overtime in Sunday's loss to Arizona. Jack Bectha, his agent, said McBriar could be put on injured reserve or miss six to eight weeks.

Romo broke his right pinkie finger on the first play of overtime. If the timetable is correct, Romo, who will not require surgery, will miss three games. Dallas has a bye Nov.9.

In his absence, the Cowboys will turn to Brad Johnson, who at 40 will be the oldest starting quarterback in the NFL this season.

Monday's game

BROWNS 35, GIANTS 14: Led by receiver Braylon Edwards, Cleveland ended New York's 11-game road winning streak with a win against the reigning Super Bowl champions.

Cleveland quarterback Derek Anderson, whose job was in serious jeopardy just a few weeks ago, threw one of his two touchdown passes to Edwards, cornerback Eric Wright intercepted Eli Manning and returned it 94 yards for a touchdown and the Browns (2-3) finally looked worthy of a prime-time TV slot.

Anderson finished 18-for-29 for 310 yards, Edwards caught five passes for a career-high 154 yards and Jamal Lewis scored on a 4-yard run for the Browns, who won a Monday night game for the first time since 1993 and handed the Giants (4-1) their first loss, leaving the Tennessee Titans as the NFL's only unbeaten team.

Manning was picked off three times and the Giants, so dominant through their first four games, were roughed up by a Browns team running out of time to make good on lofty expectations.
