This will be a busy week in a busy month for Democrat Anthony Foxx, Republican John Lassiter and other Charlotte-area candidates.
Less than a month before the Nov. 3 election, the two mayoral hopefuls will square off several times across town.
Crowded fields for city council and Charlotte-Mecklenburg school board also have full schedules.

•Wednesday, 1-3 p.m.: Charlotte Chamber mayoral debate, Pinehurst Cardinal Ballroom, Pinehurst Golf & Country Club, Pinehurst.
•Wednesday, 7-8:30 p.m.: Queens University mayoral debate (to be rebroadcast on WFAE-FM); Dana Auditorium, Queens University, 1900 Selwyn Ave. The college is soliciting questions in advance. E-mail them to charlottemayor@queens.edu. Include your full name and a daytime phone number.
•Wednesday, 7-8 p.m.: MeckEd debate for District 2 school board candidates, Olympic High, 4301 Sandy Porter Road.
•Thursday, noon-1:30 p.m.: Mayoral candidates speak to the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, First Presbyterian Church, 200 W. Trade St.
•Thursday, 6:30-7:45 p.m.: Mayoral candidates at Charlotte Area Bicycle Alliance, Dowd YMCA, 400 E. Morehead St.
