Boys Coach: Ron Johnson
2008-09 Record: 5-11
Boys' Key Returners: Demond Gates, 6-3, Sr., F; Omar Caldwell, 6-1, Jr., G
Boys' Notable: Two 6-5 sophomores, Richard Brown and Will Smith, bring height. Former Concord Cannon coach Ron Johnson takes over the program. Johnson, who is 250-110 in his career, was a Georgia assistant last year….This is Davidson Day's second year of varsity athletics. The team will play in 1A SPAA conference with state powers Victory Christian and United Faith.
Girls Coach: Kevin Buechler
2008-09 Record: 0-12
Girls Key Returners: Katie Burr, 5-6, Sr, G; Cidney Garrett, 5-8, So., F; Katy Leonard, 5-6, Jr., G
Girls' Notable: Leonard was team MVP last season. Burr is a returning captain.
