N.C. State has filled out its nonconference football schedule through 2019 and announced several future dates through the 2024 season on Thursday.
The Wolfpack has added a home-and-home series with Marshall in 2017 and ’18 to its future football calendar, which already included dates with West Virginia, Mississippi State, East Carolina and Notre Dame.
N.C. State will have seven home games in 2016, ’18 and ’19 and only six home games in 2015 and ’17.
The school completed its 2015 schedule with the addition of Eastern Kentucky, a Football Championship Subdivision team. The Wolfpack also faces Troy at home that season and has to go to both Old Dominion and South Alabama. N.C. State has played two nonconference road games in the same season once since 2003 (in 2010). The Pack will do that in both ’15 and ’17.
N.C. State had already lined up one “Power 5” conference opponent for each season from 2015 through 2022 before Thursday’s announcement. The ACC adopted that policy during the offseason, encouraging its members to strengthen their schedules for the new College Football Playoff.
