Senior shooting guard Marcus Ginyard seemed more explosive during the Tar Heels' win Tuesday at N.C. State, jumping more easily for rebounds and looking quicker - and less tired - running the court.
The next step in his comeback since missing three straight games with a sprained right ankle will be hitting some shots.
Ginyard finished 0-for-5 against the Wolfpack, meaning he's 6-for-25 during his past five games since he was sidelined.
That's a huge dropoff from his first five games of the season, when he was 27-for-45. Then again, he wasn't trying to come back from a bruised left foot - which also sidelined him for a game - or a sprained ankle then.
