No, North Carolina forward Ed Davis -- who broke his left wrist last week -- did not shrug out of his street clothes, don his uniform, and play 4 minutes Tuesday night, as the box score from UNC's 68-51 loss at Georgia Tech implies.
Because of some technical difficulties, the minutes for some of the players were off:
Point guard Larry Drew II played 30 minutes, not 26.
Small forward Will Graves played 31, not 30.
Reserve guard Dexter Strickland played 16, not 17.
And Davis played zero, not 4.
Unfortunately for the Tar Heels, the worst stats of the game remain: Drew had eight turnovers and three assists. Senior Marcus Ginyard had zero points on 0-for-2 shooting after re-spraining his right ankle. And UNC made only 32-2. percent of its shots -- to fall to 14-2, 3-8 in the ACC.
The official box score is corrected, and can be found on the school's web site, tarheelblue.com.
