On Thursday at the CIAA tournament, you can interview for a job, learn to cook, watch a couple of concerts – and even see some basketball.
The largest crowds of the week so far are expected in Charlotte’s uptown as the basketball tournament moves into its final three days and the social schedule kicks up a few notches.
The schedule begins Thursday morning with a Career Expo at the Charlotte Convention Center. Some of the region’s top employers will be on hand to meet with CIAA college students and recent graduates in what amounts to a job fair.
The CIAA Fan Experience gets underway Thursday evening, with two concerts and a three-on-three basketball tournament highlighting the schedule at the Convention Center. The Food Lion Chef Challenge also begins its three-day run as part of Fan Experience. Cooking demonstrations are planned from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Admission is free to the Fan Experience, and it is open to everyone.
Down the street at Time Warner Cable Arena, four men’s quarterfinal basketball games are on the schedule.
