Michael Ogden, Salisbury, Jr.: 2A state singles champion lost only 12 games in four matches at the state tournament. He also won 2A Midwest Regional and Central Carolinas conference singles titles.
Will Turner, Charlotte Country Day, Sr.: A two-time all-state pick, Boston College signee was a perfect 15-0 in singles play this season (28-5 overall singles/doubles). He didn’t lose a set in singles play.
Josh Du Toit, Ardrey Kell, Sr.: UNC Wilmington signee was also dominant (25-2 overall), winning the SoMeck8 conference and 4A West Regional singles championships. He made it to the 4A state quarterfinals and went 48-6 in his two years at Ardrey Kell.
Riley Brosnan, Charlotte Catholic, Jr.: Overcame an early-season ankle injury to finish 14-4 overall, 4A West Regional singles runner-up and 4A state singles quarterfinalist.
George Lovitt, Marvin Ridge, So.: Southern Carolinas conference singles champion proved to be one of the best singles players in the state again (26-4 overall singles), making it to the 3A state semifinals.
Kavir Kumar, Charlotte Country Day, So.: Bucs’ No. 2, all-state performer was a perfect 33-0 (17-0 singles, 16-0 doubles) this season.
Alex Brea, Providence Day, Jr.: Chargers’ No. 1, all-state pick had a big season in both singles and doubles with Alex Comisar (19-5 overall).
Andrew Redding, Cannon School, So.: All-CISAA, all-state player proved to be one of best singles competitors in a brutal league with likes of Turner, Kumar and Brea.
Ryan Wydra/Sean Wydra, Hough: Brothers went 18-2 together this season, winning the MECKA 4A conference and 4A West Regional titles, advancing to the 4A state doubles quarterfinals.
Avanish Madhavaram/Hayden Wohlfarth, Marvin Ridge: Southern Carolinas conference doubles champions, 3A Midwest Regional champions were also 3A state doubles semifinalists, 18-2 overall as a duo.
Clint Comadoll/Spencer Storey, Salisbury: Central Carolinas conference, 2A Midwest Regional doubles champions made it all the way to the 2A state doubles semifinals as well.
Christopher Dillon/Shel Robinson, Myers Park: SW4A champions finished third at 4A West Regionals and were 4A state doubles quarterfinalists. Robinson will play at Sewanee next season.
