Saturday will be a busy day for motorsports fans and anyone else interested in joining the Coca-Cola Speed Street party, with activities both at the track and in Charlotte’s uptown.

Coca-Cola Speed Street will have plenty to offer for children on Saturday.

Radio Disney Live! will command the Kids Zone, with interactive entertainment, dancing, and more. Kids Zone also features bounce houses, a rock climbing wall and face painters. It’s open from noon-6 p.m.

Saturday’s Speed Street entertainment: Pop and rock music are in the spotlight, with Julie Gribble opening the entertainment at 4 p.m. School of Rock Charlotte takes the stage at 8 p.m., and 38 Special performs at 9:30 p.m.

Hot dog eating contest: A qualifying event for the annual Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. on the main stage. The top male and female finishers will qualify for the annual July 4 event at Coney Island, N.Y., according to event officials.

Driver appearances: Tony Stewart and Greg Biffle will appear on the main stage from 6:45-7:30 p.m. They will participate in a question-and-answer session.
