Carolina Panthers reach 75-player limit without cutting anyone

The Carolina Panthers assigned three players to injured reserve and another to the physically unable to perform list to get the roster to 75 players by Tuesday’s 4 p.m. deadline.
Quarterback Matt Blanchard (concussion), center Kevin Matthews (back) and tight end D.C. Jefferson (ankle) were placed on injured reserve. Wide receiver De’Andre Presley (stress fracture) was put on the PUP list. Presley must miss the first six games of the regular season before joining the team.
The Panthers will shave their list to 53 players by 6 p.m. Saturday.
