Carolina Panthers right guard Trai Turner returned to practice after missing a day with an ankle injury – and run game coordinator John Matsko welcomed him back in his own unique way.
Turner was listed as a full participant in Thursday’s practice after he was able to loosen up his ankle, Panthers coach Ron Rivera said.
“He warmed up, and once he got warmed up he did every rep he was supposed to,” Rivera said. “In fact, he even got yelled at by Coach Matsko. So that’s a huge plus.”
While Turner was back, defensive tackle Kawann Short returned on a limited basis.
Short injured his shoulder during last week’s win against San Francisco. He sat out Wednesday and participated only in individual drills Thursday.
But Rivera expects Short to be good to go Friday.
Undrafted linebacker Jeremy Cash remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.
