Philadelphia lost its exhibition opener 16-10 to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Friday. But quarterback Donovan McNabb was on his game in the two possessions he played, completing 10 of 13 passes for 97 yards and a touchdown. He took the Eagles to a field goal on the other drive.

Eagles linebacker Omar Gaither, who played at Myers Park High, goes against his hometown team tonight. Gaither, taken by Philadelphia with the fifth pick of the 2006 draft out of Tennessee, had 170 tackles last season – third highest for the Eagles since coach Andy Reid took over in 1999.
Although Panthers coach John Fox said his starters will play into the second quarter, Eagles starters will likely play the entire first half.
Pro Bowl guard Shawn Andrews reported to camp over the weekend, but he's not likely to play. Philadelphia's big free-agent addition – cornerback Asante Samuel – has been hurt for much of training camp but he could play tonight.
Defensive tackle Mike Marquardt, who signed briefly with the Panthers last week when the team's defensive line was hit by injuries and was then cut a few days later, is now with the Eagles. He probably won't last much longer with Philadelphia than he did with Carolina. David Scott
