Charlotte loves breweries, and Charlotte loves dogs.

So, it makes perfect sense that a Charlotte brewery would land a top spot in Chewy’s ranking of the 10 best dog-friendly breweries in the U.S.

Congrats to Armored Cow Brewing Co., named #2 on the list. It helps that the brewery’s official greeter is a four-legged pal named Remi. The brewery also has water stations for dogs and treats for sale at the bar. Quarterly pop-up events help to raise money for animal rescue groups. “And thanks to the doting staff who love getting to know the canine regulars by name, your dog will feel like brewery royalty — just like Remi,” wrote Chewy’s Kristen Arendt.

“Paws down, being dog-friendly is one of our favorite things!” Armored Cow wrote on Instagram in response to the news. “We love seeing furry friends wagging their tails while their humans enjoy a cold brew! Come visit us and bring your pup along for the fun!”

ABOUT ARMORED COW: In addition to custom craft beer, the University City brewery also boasts a 100 percent gluten-free brew that is safe for those with celiac disease. Also on the menu is wine, cider, kombucha and other non-alcoholic beverages.

In Asheville, Burial Beer Co.’s South Slope location also ranked in the top 100.
