An extension of Restaurant Week

Restaurant Week spills over with a few more places:

Carpe Diem (1535 Elizabeth Ave.) will extend the price for another week, through Saturday, July 26. The $30-per-person menu includes choice of salad; entrée (salmon over Anson Mills Carolina Gold rice, shrimp or cremini mushroom couscous, or buttermilk-fried chicken breast over spinach); and dessert (pecan-crusted chocolate ganache torte, fruit cobbler or crème brulée). 704-377-7976.

Blue (at the Hearst Tower Uptown, corner of Fifth and College streets) also will offer its deal through Saturday, July 26 (along with wine specials for $30 to $35 per bottle). First course is falafel or Tega Hills Farm salad; second is grilled pork tenderloin with polenta or pan-seared barramundi (a mild fish) over heirloom potatoes; dessert is blueberry cheesecake with ginger honey. 704-927-2583.

Cold Stone's Booty benefit

During July, Cold Stone Creamery (which recently opened at Epicentre) will feature “ Anne's Booty Creation,” a special ice cream flavor of named vanilla ice cream mixed with raspberries, graham cracker pie crust and whipped topping.

All proceeds from the sale of that flavor will go to Anne Lynn's “24 Hour of Booty” team, said spokeswoman Jennifer Walker. Lynn is a south Charlotte resident and a lung cancer survivor.
