NETWORK: CBS. IT'S ABOUT: A cold, dark murder mystery set on an island near Seattle where a millionaire is marrying off his daughter following a 10-day island party. It's also the place a serial killer went on a rampage seven years earlier.

The Goode Family

NETWORK: ABC. IT'S ABOUT: A satire focusing on a politically correct family obsessed with doing the “right” thing, always. An animated series from Mike Judge, who created “King of the Hill.”

Also returning midseason on ABC: “Lost,” “Scrubs,” “The Bachelor” and “According to Jim.”

The Cleveland Show

NETWORK: Fox. IT'S ABOUT: A spin-off of the animated series “Family Guy” follows the adventures of Peter Griffin's neighbor Cleveland Brown. He once promised his high school sweetheart, Donna, they'd be together. So Cleveland, along with Cleveland Junior, move to Stoolbend, Va., to start a new life with Donna and her children.

Also returning midseason to Fox: “24,” “American Idol,” “The Moment of Truth.”

Returning midseason on NBC: “Friday Night Lights,” probably in January after a first-run on DirecTV.

Returning midseason to the CW: “Reaper.”
