A wrestling 1-2 on Saturday

Once the South's center of professional wrestling, Charlotte is again a hotbed for suplexes and hurricanranas - at least for one night - when two pro wrestling companies battle for fans Saturday.

Lucha Libre USA: Masked Warriors, which airs Fridays at 10 p.m. on MTV2 and Saturdays at 10 p.m. on MTVTr3s, debuts live at 8 p.m. at Bojangles' Coliseum, 2700 E. Independence Blvd.

In addition to high-flying Mexican wrestling, the event includes a "Battle of the Sons" match between Charlotte's own Reid and David Flair (Ric's boys) taking on Tinebulas Jr. and Oriental.

Tickets are $10 to $50 for adults, free-$5 for children. For more information: 800-745-3000; www.bojanglescoliseum.com.

Elsewhere that night, Ring of Honor, which made its live Charlotte debut in March, returns to the Queen City. Stars of the HDNet series - including Jay and Mark Briscoe, Necro Butcher, ROH Champion Tyler Black, Roderick Strong and Davey Richards - will take to the ring at 7:30 p.m. at Metrolina Tradeshow Expo Building C, 7100 Stateville Road. Tickets are $20. For more information: 215-781-2500; www.rohwrestling.com.
