Knitted pieces show different views of cities

Seeing knit booties on benches, scarves around lampposts or toboggans on fire hydrants?

These sites subtly decorate downtown Rock Hill, and are a project organized by Gallery Up.

The collection of knitted and crocheted swatches from local crafters are part of "Urban Knitting," a worldwide initiative that provides a creative new way of seeing common objects such as sign posts, benches and trees.

The project will remain up through ChristmasVille next week.
