The Showtime series "Homeland" will be filming in Mooresville on Thursday, intermittently shutting down Broad Street from Moore Avenue to McLelland Avenue from noon to 9 p.m.
The thriller is set to air in the fall. As the story goes: The hero, Marine Sgt. Scott Brody (played by British actor Damien Lewis, who also starred in HBO's "Band of Brothers"), has been a POW in Baghdad for eight years and is rescued. He returns to his wife and children and an adoring public.
But all is not as it seems. CIA agent Carrie Anderson (played by Clare Danes) suspects the hero may instead be connected to terrorists and is plotting an attack on America.
The series has been filmed throughout the Charlotte region for months.
