Giuliana Rancic doing well after breast surgery
Giuliana Rancic has had her double mastectomy and is "doing really well," according to husband Bill Rancic.
Giuliana, 36, was diagnosed with breast cancer in October after a mammogram ordered as part of in vitro fertilization therapy revealed cancer cells in both breasts. This week's surgery became necessary after a double lumpectomy failed to nab all the cancerous cells and she was unwilling to live with the risks that would come with another lumpectomy and chemo.
Though Bill noted to Wendy Williams that his wife's scars would be "a badge of courage," he went on to explain that the procedure was not the disfiguring experience of years past. Plus, he got to have a little fun related to the reconstructive surgery she had done with the mastectomies.
"Bill helped pick them out and everything," she said, smiling. "So I'm, like, Bill, that big?"
