Opening day will include the 15th anniversary celebration of one of the amusement park’s most thrilling and beloved coasters, Afterburn. The first 1,500 riders on opening day will receive commemorative lapel pins. Also: Ripcord (formerly Carowinds Xtreme Skyflyer) is now in the middle of the park; a new mother dinosaur (Maiasaura) joins Dinosaurs Alive!; and new live shows will debut on every stage in the park.
