Festival

Festa Italiana

1-7 p.m. Queens University of Charlotte, 1900 Selwyn Ave. $65, $25 for kids 12-17, $10 for kids 6-11. www.festaitalianacharlotte.org.

Admission includes unlimited Italian food, wines, prosecco, Peroni beer, live entertainment and a silent auction. Proceeds benefit Nevins, which provides care to developmentally disabled adults in Mecklenburg County.

Art Museum Day

Noon-5 p.m. Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, 420 S. Tryon St.; Mint Museum Uptown, 500 S. Tryon St.; Mint Museum Randolph, 2730 Randolph Road. $5 at the Mints, $4 at the Bechtler; free for 17 and younger. www.mintmuseum.org; www.bechtler.org.

To promote appreciation for art museums, the Bechtler and the Mint are offering half-price adult admission and free entry for everyone under age 18. In addition, the Mint is waiving all exhibition fees to see “Women of Vision: National Geographic Photographers on Assignment” (normally $10 above regular admission).
