Reading Matters

Bag lunch, novels and Carolinas settings

One novel is set in 1950s South Carolina. The other on North Carolina’s Outer Banks, partly during the Depression. Both involve romance -- Kim Boykin’s “A Peach of a Pair” and Lisa Wingate’s “The Seakeeper’s Daughters,” -- and both will be the subjects of a lunchtime conversation on Thursday, 11 a.m-12:30, at Park Road Books, 4139 Park Road, Park Road Shopping Center.

The event is sponsored by the Charlotte chapter of the Women’s National Book Association. The organization invites you and your book club members to bring a bag lunch and join the authors in conversation.

WNBA is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote reading and literacy and the role of women in the book community. For more information: Priscilla Goudreau-Santos at priscillagoudreausantos@gmail.com.
