Get psyched for the Super Bowl at a huge pep rally at the EpiCentre with live entertainment, DJs, face painting and trivia games. The rally is free, but you can buy a ticket to get into participating venues (Whisky River; Blackfinn; Strike City; Vida, Vida Vida; Bubble; Suite and Rooftop 210; Tin Roof; Wild Wing Cafe and Howl at the Moon), beer specials and giveaways, including a commemorative T-shirt.

Do you have what it takes to win a football tournament? In this case, “football” means Madden. Win Microsoft’s Madden tournament and receive an Xbox One and Madden NFL 16 game. The kicker here, though, is that only 20 people can play in the tournament, and there’s no pre-registration. Sign-up begins at the store at 12:30 p.m. You might want to get there early to have a chance. Must be 13 or older.
Chinese New Year Celebration

The Peaceful Dragon, a martial arts school, is hosting its 19th annual Chinese New Year Celebration. It’s free if you bring in nonperishable food donations for Loaves & Fishes. (Or you can pay a $3 donation per family.) This is the Year of the Monkey, and highlights include the colorful ceremonial Lion Dance and Dragon Dance; kung fu, tai chi and yoga demonstrations; and traditional Chinese dance and music. Kid-friendly. Authentic Chinese food can be purchased.

Admission is free to this delicious annual festival, and plenty of free treats will be there as well, from chocolate coffee to wine. Kids under 10 get to decorate and eat cupcakes for free, and there’s a free bounce house. Items for sale include fried candy bars, Nutella crepes, fruit kabobs and pretzels to dip in chocolate fountain, PW’s Gourmet Ice Cream’s Death by Chocolate sundaes and, just in time for the Super Bowl, chocolate chili.
