Charlotte-area dining notes

Eastfield Bar & Grill

Eastfield (8709 Arbor Creek Drive) will host Truck or Treat from noon-8 p.m. Saturday. Planned for the day are food and drink specials, a food truck, pumpkin carving and costume contests, local beers and more. All ages and pets are welcome; admission is free.

Heirloom

Heirloom (8470 Bellhaven Blvd.) will host a Coulwood community dinner from 5-8 p.m. Sunday. Cost is $20 for community members or $25 for nonresidents. A farm-to-table Charlotte Foodie adventure dinner is happening here at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Six courses and a glass of wine are $44.99. Tickets must be purchased in advance at www.cltfoodies.com.

Rocksalt

Rocksalt (512 Brandywine Road) will host a Triple C beer dinner at 6:30 p.m. Monday. The four-course menu with beer pairings is $55 per person. Reservations: 704-503-9945. The restaurant is celebrating its annual Oystoberfest with $1 oysters from 11:30 a.m.-7 p.m. daily through the end of October.

Passion8

Passion8 (1523 Elizabeth Ave.) will celebrate 10 years with a cocktail party from 1-3 p.m. Sunday. Hors d’oeuvres, music and a complimentary cocktail are included in the ticket price of $22 in advance or $25 at the door. Tickets: 704-910-3161.

Morton’s The Steakhouse

Morton’s (227 W. Trade St.) will host a Colors of Fall whiskey tasting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The three-course tasting menu with whiskey pairings is $65. Reservations: 704-333-2602.

5Church

Executive Chef Jamie Lynch of 5Church has been selected as a contestant on Top Chef season 14, premiering on Dec. 1 on Bravo. Lynch divides his time between the restaurant’s three locations in Charlotte, Charleston and Atlanta.

The Palm Restaurant

The Palm (6705 Phillips Place Ct.) is celebrating its 90th anniversary with new menu items. A peek finds coconut crusted sea scallops, a bone in Colorado veal rib chop and thick cut applewood smoked bacon. Reservations: 704-552-7256.

Aria Tuscan Grill

Aria (100 N. Tryon St.) has a new $5 bar bites menu featuring calamari, filet sliders and grilled meatballs. The menu is offered Monday through Saturday from 5 p.m. until close. Aria also has updated its lunch and dinner menus.

Gallery Restaurant

Gallery (10000 Ballantyne Commons Pkwy.) has unveiled its fall menu. On it are oysters, chicken and dumplings, oxtail ragu and more. Reservations: 704-248-4100.

Good Food on Montford

Good Food (1701 Montford Drive) has added fall menu items. Gnocchi with braised duck, toasted pecans and acorn squash puree and NC trout with butternut squash chow chow are amongst the offerings.

Bistro La Bon

New fall dishes are on the menu at Bistro La Bon (1322 Central Ave.). Slow-braised short ribs and bouillabaisse are new on the dinner menu, and lump crab and chives omelettes and individual quiches have been added for brunch. The restaurant is now offering its full dinner menu at lunch, as well. Reservations: 704-333-4646.

Stagioni

Chef Drew Dodd has added seasonal menu items at Stagioni (715 Providence Road). New are butternut cavatelli with braised bison, slow braised short rib with mushroom ragout and a baby kale salad. Reservations: 704-372-8110.

WP Kitchen + Bar

WP Kitchen + Bar (6706 Phillips Place Court) is now offering seasonal dishes for both lunch and dinner. For lunch, squash soup, a chicken Caprese sandwich and an NC apple salad are new. Maryland-style crab cakes, rigatoni Alfredo with roasted chicken and wiener schnitzel have been added for dinner. Reservations: 704-295-0101.
