In honor of National Southern Food Day on Jan. 22, Hwy 55 (5700 University Pointe Blv.) will donate $1 from the sale of each Charleston Chop, their take on a fried chicken sandwich, to Speedway Children’s Charities through Jan. 31.
McAlister’s (4805 Park Road) Lite Choose Two menu has returned. Over 250 menu items can be paired for a meal under 600 calories. Examples of pairings include a Harvest Chicken Salad and Tomato Bisque for 510 calories and a McAlister’s Club and Southwest Vegetable Soup for 540 calories.
