A Farewell to Downton Dinner
A Farewell to Downton Abbey formal dinner is planned at The Sharpe House (402 S. Center St. Statesville) on Mar. 6. The six course dinner menu features beef Wellington and Mrs. Patmore’s crab cakes. The Mandrake Charlotte
The Mandrake Charlotte (333 S. Trade St.) is partnering with Wooden Robot Brewery to host “Icons and Landmarks of the Queen City” on Feb. 20. The fundraiser will showcase work from five local artists, beers from Wooden Robot and a menu from Mandrake Executive Chef Donnie Simmons. Each of the five artists featured will design a Wooden Robot beer tap handle to be auctioned off. Proceeds from the evening’s silent auction and raffle items will benefit The Relatives, an organization dedicated to keeping families together and kids safe. Reservations: 704-370-3006.
