Dyngus Day in Charlotte

Dyngus Day at the Red Fez Shrine Club returns for the second year, a celebration that features traditional Polish food and music, and benefits the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.

You can find a polka band and find out what people mean when they say, as the press release does, “Bring on the pussy willow shenanigans, it’s time to party our dupas off.”

The event starts at 4 p.m.; the club is at 16600 Red Fez Road (about a half hour southwest of uptown). Admission is $15 (free for kids younger than 12). Info: www.dyngusdaycharlotte.com or www.facebook.com/dyngusdaycharlotte
