The Asbury’s executive chef, Chris Coleman, will be whipping up five courses May 14 in New York City starring the N.C. sweet potato for a Dinner Lab crowd.
Dinner Lab is a members-only series of experimental pop-up meals, featuring chefs from participating cities, including Charlotte. Events in each city draw on both hometown talent and national participants.
This event is dubbed “Dirt Candy | An evening with the North Carolina Sweet Potato.” North Carolina is the nation’s top sweet potato producer, and yes, the N.C. Sweet Potato Commission is collaborating in the event.
