Lovers of food and the arts can get a three-fer for May 18: A progressive dinner, visual art and music, at three uptown institutions.
Appetizers and drinks will be served at he Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture. Entrees follow at Mint Museum Uptown and there’ll be dessert, coffee and a musical performance at Blumenthal Performing Arts’ Knight Theater to cap off the evening. Cost is $120, but if you’re a member of one of the institutions, it’s $110. If you belong to two, it’s $105, and it’s an even $100 if you belong to all three. Tickets: www.carolinatix.org.
Among the offerings: yam pancakes with sauteed greens; West African chicken shish kebob; lamb and potato samosas; squid ink fettuccine; sriracha Dijon honey glazed short rib; fresh plum tart; espresso chocolate cake; and more.
