Birdsong Brewery will host a Slow Food Charlotte fundraising barbecue called “Let’s Brew & Chew” on Aug. 16, with Art Institute chef Mark Zink serving as pitmaster. The event will benefit Slow Food’s “10,000 Gardens in Africa” and will use pork from A Way of Life Farm; attendees will get pork and four sides.
