Things are proceeding apace on the new outpost of Foxcroft Wine Co. in Dilworth, says Conrad Hunter, who hopes for an early September opening and offered the midst-construction photos above: “Chef Justin (Solomon) and I have been working on the new menu which will be taking advantage of the new Woodstone brick oven we’re installing i.e. roasted oysters, grilled meats and well as our trademark flatbreads.” Bartops, tables and chairs are being made in Durham (Bull City Design) from oaks Hunter cut down at his house, and the patio’s been poured. Stay tuned for an opening date for the place, at Kenilworth Commons (where Harris Teeter is, on East Boulevard).
