What to Watch on Wednesday: Lee Daniels’ ‘Star’ is born on Fox

Star (9 p.m., Fox) – The premiere of a new musical drama from Lee Daniels and Queen Latifah about a young woman (Jude Demorest) from foster care who, with her sister (Brittany O’Grady) and best friend (Ryan Destiny), pursues stardom in Atlanta. Lenny Kravitz guest stars in tonight’s premiere.

Survivor (8 p.m., CBS) – A winner is crowned in the Season 33 finale. A reunion special airs at 10.

The Goldbergs (8 p.m., ABC) – Beverly talks Erica into writing a Hanukkah song, inspiring Barry to prove his own musical prowess.

Saturday Night Live Christmas Special (9 p.m., NBC) – Some of the best Christmas sketches from the show’s history.

Rectify (10 p.m., Sundance) – In the series finale of this acclaimed drama, Daniel begins to appreciate his progress as he realizes what his new life may look like. Meanwhile, the old life is quickly disappearing for Teddy, who knows change is unavoidable. And Jon debriefs Janet and Amantha on what he has learned about Daniel’s case. We’ll sure miss this one.

Younger (10 p.m., TV Land) – In the one-hour season finale, Liza draws closer to Charles at the Hamptons Book Fair, and a famous life coach forces Liza to face hard truths.
