What to Watch on Monday: AMC tackles ‘The Making of the Mob’

The Making of the Mob: New York (10 p.m., AMC) – The first installment in a new 8-part series narrated by Ray Liotta begins in 1905 with Lucky Luciano. The series blends archival footage with dramatic reenactments and interviews with mob experts and notable personalities, like Meyer Lansky II, Rudolph Giuliani and Chazz Palminteri.

Major Crimes (9 p.m., TNT) – A dead body pops out of the trunk of a car at the end of a chase, and the squad must untangle connections between a chef, a psychiatrist and a lawyer.

Becoming Us (9 p.m., ABC Family) – Ben struggles with his feelings and distances himself from others. Also, Sutton and Carly go shopping.

Limited Partnership (10 p.m., UNC-TV) – This Independent Lens documentary tells the story of Richard and Tony, who married in 1975 and have spent 40 years fighting for legal immigration status for same sex spouses.

Murder in the First (10 p.m., TNT) – Terry is promoted to acting Lieutenant, and tensions mount as the manhunt for the missing shooter proves to difficult.

The Whispers (10 p.m., ABC) – A mysterious entity leads John Doe and his hostage, Dr. Maria Benavidez, to a secret location.

UnReal (10 p.m., Lifetime) – Rachel is forced to ask her mother for financial support, and Lizzie discovers details about Jeremy and Rachel's history.
