What to Watch on Saturday: A new vet show, ‘Sharksanity’ recap

Dr. Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet (10 p.m., Animal Planet) – In the premiere of this new series following Colorado veterinarian Dr. Jeff Young, Dr. Jeff must save a dog that goes into cardiac arrest as it arrives, but the owners are homeless and can’t pay the bill.

The Millers (8 p.m., CBS) – Episodes tonight cover Thanksgiving and a plan to help Aunt Louise (Cloris Leachman) leave her mark on the world.

The McCarthys (9 p.m., CBS) – In the first episode, Ronny’s family finds out he’s seeing a therapist so they crash his session to air their own grievances. The series finale happens at 9:30, with the McCarthy children fighting over who is most qualified to be named executor of their parents’ wills.

Sharksanity (9 p.m., Discovery) – A collection of bites, strikes and close calls from Shark Week 2015, plus viewers rank their favorite viral shark clips.

Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell (10 p.m., BBC America) – Jonathan returns home to Arabella and the publication of his book on the history of magic. The book is strongly opposed both by Norrell and the government, who see the Raven King as an influence on the Luddite movement.
