A Chef’s Life (9:30 p.m., UNC-TV) – It’s the Season 3 premiere of this North Carolina favorite: Cynthia Hill’s Peabody Award-winning series about chef Vivian Howard and the two restaurants she runs with her husband Ben Knight in Kinston. Tonight, Vivian gets advice about squash and onions from her mother, Miss Scarlett, and her sister, Johnna.

Documentary Now! (10 p.m., IFC) – This episode was supposed to air last week, but because of similarities to the TV news shootings in Virginia, the weirdly brilliant “Kanuk” episode aired instead (and yes, the same thing happened with the “Mr. Robot” season finale, which also got bumped last week and aired last night). This bumped episode, which spoofs HBO’s “VICE”-style documentaries, will air tonight. In “DRONEZ: The Hunt for El Chignon,” the hipster media empire DRONEZ sends journalists to Mexico to track down a drug lord.

Under the Dome (10 p.m., CBS) – As the dome’s calcification accelerates, the townspeople have 24 hours left before they will suffocate. Bad news for “Dome” fans: CBS canceled this show on Monday.

Dominion (10 p.m., Syfy) – Alex, Noma and Michael hit an unexpected road block, and Claire’s judgment call threatens the security of Vega.
