The Knick (10 p.m., Cinemax) – In the Season 2 premiere of this Peabody Award-winning drama, Dr. Edwards lobbies to be appointed chief of surgery, while Dr. Gallinger refuses to return as Edwards' subordinate. Also, Lucy's attempts to make amends with Bertie are rebuffed.

Reign (8 p.m., CW) – Catherine is imprisoned when she returns to France. Also, Mary makes tough decisions about securing Scotland’s future.

Truth Be Told (8:30 p.m., NBC) – In the first episode of this new sitcom, a couple scramble to find a babysitter when a friend’s ex-boyfriend gives them four tickets to a Jay-Z concert.

Dr. Ken (8:30 p.m., ABC) – Not wanting to work on Saturdays, the members of the staff ask Ken to talk to Pat.
