Austin City Limits (Midnight, UNC-TV) - This is one not to miss: Sturgill Simpson performs songs from his latest album, “Metamodern Sounds in Country Music.” Also, the Ray Benson-led group Asleep at the Wheel performs western swing classics.

Pit Bulls and Parolees (10 p.m., Animal Planet) - A New Hampshire family comes a long way to find a new dog. Later, a call leads to a heartbreaking find.
