What to Watch on Sunday: TNT’s ‘Last Ship’ begins postponed season

The Last Ship (9 p.m., TNT) – Last week’s planned season premiere of “The Last Ship” was postponed by TNT because of a scene depicting a shooting in a nightclub. The episodes air tonight, pushing the season premiere of “Murder in the First” to next week. Season 3 of “The Last Ship” starts with two new episodes. First, Tom Chandler sent to Asia to investigate the possible mutation of the Red Flu, while Capt. Later, Slattery and his crew deliver the cure to Southeast Asia.

Preacher (9 p.m., AMC) – Jesse offers Quincannon a bet he cannot refuse.

Penny Dreadful (9 p.m., Showtime) – In the two-hour Season 3 finale, Ethan, Sir Malcolm and Kaetenay return to London. Dr. Seward uncovers a secret and Ethan searches for Dr. Frankenstein.

Good Witch (9 p.m., Hallmark) – Season 2 ends with Cassie making a decision about her future.

The Jim Gaffigan Show (10 p.m., TV Land) – In the Season 2 premiere, Jim searches for his purpose in life and finds startling answers.

Silicon Valley (10 p.m., HBO) – Richard attempts to bridge the gap between Pied Piper and its users.

The Tunnel (10:30 p.m., UNC-TV) – This series, airing for the first time in the U.S., has British and French detectives teaming up when a body is discovered inside the Channel Tunnel. It’s adapted from the 2011 Danish/Swedish series “The Bridge” (which was adapted by FX in the U.S. in 2013).
