What to Watch on Friday: New season of ‘Rap Game’ on Lifetime

Rap Game (10 p.m., Lifetime) – Season 2 of the competition series begins with seven aspiring teen rappers. Producer and Grammy winner Jermaine Dupri gets help from artists Snoop Dogg, Mariah Carey, Timbaland, Nelly, Bow Wow Monica, DaBrat and Flo Rida, and producers Bryan-Michael Cox, Zaytoven and Mike Kalombo and others this season. The winner will receive a recording contract with Dupri’s label, So So Def Recordings.

Also on tonight . . .

Great British Baking Show (9 p.m., UNC-TV) – A double serving tonight. First up, the bakers must make creme brûlée and a Spanische windtorte. At 10, the bakers must bake without gluten, sugar or dairy.

Killjoys (9 p.m., Syfy) – The team discovers that students have mysteriously disappeared from a school for gifted children on Westerly.

Homestead Rescue (10 p.m., Discovery) – The Raneys help the Russell family, who are struggling on a failing homestead in the forests of Pennsylvania. The family faces a food shortage, with no hunting skills and a cabin on the brink of collapse.
