Country Music Association nominates Paul Schadt, Meg Butterly and Geof Knight for best major radio market personalities. Winners will be announced in October. Schadt, who has been spinning country music in Charlotte since 1981, was inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame in 2014. … Both of Charlotte’s country stations, WKKT-FM (“Kat” 96.9) and WSOC-FM (103.7), were nominated for CMA’s major market station of the year. …

Amanda Fitzpartick starts as new weekend anchor at WCCB (Channel 18). … Cory “Coco Brother” Condrey joins the WPEG-FM (“Power 98” 97.9) with the hip-hop inspirational show “The Weekend” 7 a.m. Sundays. Condrey worked with Jamillah Muhammad, Power 98’s new operations director, at Radio One in Washington.
