Sunday’s TV ratings for the Panthers vs. New Orleans were huge with 40 percent of households tuned into the game in the Charlotte market’s 22 counties.
And, of all televisions that were turned on in the region Sunday afternoon, 60 percent were tuned to the game on the Fox affiliate, WJZY (Channel 46), according to Nielsen.
Nationally, it was the biggest football broadcast of the week, too, because it was Fox’s afternoon highlight game, carried in most cities. In all, it attracted 29 million viewers, according to Nielsen.
