Payless Shoes donates free shoes to needy kids

Fifty children from the Salvation Army’s Boys & Girls Clubs in Charlotte got free shoes on Friday from Payless Shoes. An additional 50 will get shoes Monday, officials said. The effort is part of the Payless Gives Shoes 4 Kids program which will give out $1.5 million worth of free shoes this year across the country for needy families. Children receiving the shoes in Charlotte are members of the Dillehay Courts, Belmont Avenue, West Boulevard and Center of Hope Boys & Girls Clubs.
