A man who is apparently homeless was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries Saturday night after he was injured at the John Belk Freeway and Interstate 77 in Charlotte, authorities said.
The man may have slipped and rolled down an embankment, causing a broken pelvis and head injuries, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police Capt. J.D. Thomas said.
The man didn’t appear to have been hit by a vehicle, Thomas said.
Medic took the man to Carolinas Medical Center about 8 p.m.
