Coulwood community leaders say they have tightened security and increased surveillance after recent break-ins at the Coulwood Swim Club on Coulwood Road.
The break-ins happened in June, and police are still looking for suspects.
Gus Kretschmer, president of the Coulwood Hills Council, said residents and police are working together to deal with the problem.
“We beefed up security in the area,” Kretschmer said. “And we also replaced some (wall) panels around the clubhouse that were in need of repair.”

The issue was discussed at the council's board meeting June 9, and community leaders agreed to ask police for increased patrols in the area.
“Our community police officer has been very helpful,” Kretschmer said. “The police have been working with us on this.”
Coulwood leaders encourage area residents who see any unusual activity to call 911.
“Since we started working on this, the problem has improved,” Kretschmer said.
