Twenty-six years ago, Kathy Helou of Cornelius tried to win a new Mazda GLC as a contestant on “The Price is Right.”
But her guess on the price was wrong, so she didn't win the car. Instead, she got a bag of Mary Kay cosmetics.
“I don't even wear make-up,” Helou remembers thinking as she left the show.
But she began working for the company and quickly found success. In her 26 years, she has won the use of the company's trademark pink Cadillac 15 times, traveled internationally and become a national sales director.

Now, even her oldest daughter, Jordan Helou Eicher, is hooked. She too sells Mary Kay.
